There's a lot of cover before I dive back into full time work after a long, lazy, luscious weekend!
The second part of Red Riding Hood was released, and I already know how the third and final installment will go. It was very interesting and somewhat bemusing to receive a new wave of criticism revolving around what everyone wanted or expected to happen to Pablo. It's funny to note I haven't received a single disappointed email or comment, from any woman or any man, about the fate of Red Riding Hood! But there's something about Pablo that had a lot of people worked up to a high froth. Perhaps some people identified with him a little bit and took what happened to him a bit personally? I can't tell. But the criticisms revolved around the fact that I was depicting a submissive male and it was being taken as an insult to all submissive males, coupled with the criticism that I never depict submissive males (though when I do, it's taken as an insult). There were those who were expecting him to have intercourse with female wolves and even impregnate a few of them. And there were those who wanted him to be the subject of gay rape, and took great insult at the fact that this probably won't happen until he's been turned into a feminized shemale, something that's well on its way by the end of the second comic. A lot of this comes with the expressed disappointment, sometimes visceral anger, that I don't draw comics with gay unions as the central focus in general.

just came back from the doctors
doctor saw me for 5 minutes, got mad that i didnt have any recent blood tests even though i was never called and told to get any blood tests done, got mad at me that i wasnt taking any vitamins even though i was never suggested to take any vitamins, wrote me a prescription for prednisone and plaquenil, said that he thinks i have lupus but isnt sure, wrote down a bunch of blood tests that i need to take and to call the medical program im on and find out what clinics will do blood tests that are on the program.
called the program, they told me that they cant really tell me any clinic in particular that will do these blood tests for me, and that in fact the doctor should have just told me to go to where he usually gets his blood tests ordered at, and that they'll call him and figure that out and call me back sometime today. no calls back yet.

| Not Another Fur Meet: Standard Edition |

It that time again! Time for the Standard Edition of Not Another Fur Meet! AKA The Arundel Mills Mall fur meet. We'll be meeting up in the food court at 7:30PM then eating and socializing there till 8:45PM. At that time, we'll be wandering around further chatting and such till the movie group breaks off to see the late showing of a TBA movie. The other folks will head to get drinks and deserts or head out. We should be too hard to spot if you're looking. At least one or two folks will have a tail or badges. Hope to see lots of folks new and familiar Friday.

I don't know what any of you guys who are actors, call it, but in my group, we call it HELL WEEK
The week before the show where we, against all odds, try to iron out all the kinks in the show and by SOME MIRACLE, everything turns out perfectly.
Well, let me tell you, we are going to need a miracle the size of Australia to pull this one off. The fact that I'm the lead does not help in this situation. xP
Anyway, you who live in or near Montgomery County, I formaly annouce that Poolesville Highschool's Midnight Players are preforming The Admirable Crichton (by J.M. Barry, same guy who wrote Peter Pan). It's about an Upper-class British family that gets shipwrecked on an island. It dosn't help that they try to maintain all the social class distictions, with little sucess. It's a mix of drama and comedy. Oh, and everyone talks with a British accent, so you should at least come for that. XD
The show dates are November 19th, 20th and 21st (a Thursday, Friday and Saturday), and I am in the Thursday and Saturday night shows as the butler, Crichton (we do 2 shows on Saturday). The Thursday and Friday shows are at 7:00 PM, The Saturday evening show is at 2:00 PM, and the Saturday night show is at 7:30 PM.
Leave me a comment if you wanna come, so I can at least say I did SOMETHING to advertise our show!

I just got an e-mail from Amazon advertising a new Disney Princess soundtrack: "The Princess and the Frog: Tiana and Her Princess Friends." It's a compilation of various Disney Princess songs. Here's the track listing:
1. Almost There - Performed by Tiana
2. Happy Working Song - Performed by Giselle
3. Beyond My Wildest Dreams - Performed by Ariel
4. Down in New Orleans - Performed by Tiana
5. I See a Princess - Performed by Belle

Some of these are from sequels, but I don't recognize others-- are they new, or maybe from some of the Disney Princess shorts that I've never seen? (For example, I've never seen the cartoons from the Peacock Princess DVD thing)
And I'm curious about "Beyond My Wildest Dreams." I know that one's from the Broadway version Little Mermaid... do you think it's too much to hope that they may have had Jodi Benson re-record it? I would die of joy if that was so. I liked the songs on the Broadway soundtrack, but I'd prefer to hear them sung by the "real" Ariel.

| Comic-Con 2009 - Enchanted |

So my big "project" this past summer was getting a Giselle dress made. The funniest thing is that I LOVE Giselle's pink Mucha gown that she wears in the beginning animated portion of the film, but I really hate the color pink. I guess I just love the design of the dress so much, I was able to overlook the color. XD
I hunted down all the fabric myself in just one trip to the LA garment district. My seamstress did an amazing job of putting it together, I love how it turned out. I was able to find an awesome wig piece from Granada Wigs in San Diego. Since Dan already had an Edward costume made from the previous year, I begged him to dress up with me. XD

Mwahahaha. So that concludes all my Comic-Con photos from this year. As for what we're doing next year, I have no idea! I guess we'll see when it gets closer to next year's con. |

Hey there ! Maybe you remember, some time ago someone posted pages from a storybook about Ariel and the aquamarine jewel. The art in this book was quite spectacular, and I know someone said there was one for each princess. I'd kill to get to see what Belle's is like, so does anyone know where I can find those books ? (online store or website please)
